This is a slightly different style from what I'm used to seeing you do. I like the more "blocky" style with the hair and dress, using larger solid swathes of colour. The texture of the cloth also seems simple yet effective. Overall this gives a feeling of ease and loose brush strokes, very good.
I feel that her pose, with the pulled-up shoulder and slightly pursed lips, suggests a more sultry expression than she actually has though. Her face feels a bit too emotionless and neutral when compared to the slightly suggestive pose (at least the way I interpret it). I think the impact would be improved if her eyes were maybe squinted a bit more, or if she was smiling or angling her head in some way. Not to say there is anything wrong with the current face, but this was something I reacted on.
Fun to see Krita being used, I always thought it looked like a promising project but I used to have big issues getting it to run stably on my machine (the KDE dependency also annoys me for no good reason). What are your impressions of painting with the program, compared to e.g. MyPaint?
Anyway, a fun, technically cool image, a good test of a new program! . Griatch
Love it!
Saludos.
What a surprise! I love the art style between the oriental and the occidental school. The stylized hi-lights are very interesting and the artwork gives me a really soft and warm feel. Nice job!
